Traditional Thai Massage
This Thai style massage uses both palm and thumb to concentrate on the pressure points of your whole body. The massage includes some stretching, to reduce fatigue and release tight muscles, while improving blood circulation, relaxing the muscles and creating an overall feeling of well being.
Using a combination of strokes and accupressure techniques, this soothing and gentle massage allows the healing properties of these natural oils to penetrate into the skin which leaves both body and mind feeling completely relaxed.
Deep Tissue Massage
This is a type of massage aimed at the deeper tissue structures of the muscle and fascia, also called connective tissue. Deep tissue massage uses many of the same movements as Swedish Massage, but the pressure will generally be more intense. It is also a more focused type of massage, as the therapist works to release chronic muscle tension or knots. (Known as “adhesions.”)
This is particularly suited to conditions involving stress or improving emotionally related conditions. The nostrils are attached to a part of the brain called the limbic system. The limbic system controls emotions and influences the nervous system and hormones. When you inhale essential oil molecules, messages are transmitted to the limbic system and affect heart rate, stress level, blood pressure, breaking, memory, digestion and the immune system. Essential oils are also believed to be absorbed through the skin. Each essential oil has different healing properties.
Reflexology is a pressure using the thumbs and fingers. The technique is specific – certain thumb and finger movements are used to access the reflex points. The reflex points represent areas of the body, as well as organs and glands. The reflexing of these areas creates and overall feeling of euphoric relaxation. Reflexologists work from the toes to the heels via a slow gentle progression, reflexing the soles, the sides and the tops of the feet. They also work points on the lower leg. As these areas are worked, the receiver begins to relax, experiencing the stress-relieving effects immediately. A full session improves circulation, creating a sense of warmth and often restoring some sensation. The process involved with this holistic method allows for an elimination of toxins from the body, as well as restoring peace of mind and a deep sense of wholeness.
Hot Compress Massage
Compresses are frequently used in Thailand in Conjunction with traditional massage. Hot compresses are used to address chronic problems, such as back pain and tendonitis, as well as to increase energy flow, improve circulation, relax muscles and stimulate nerves.
Thai Oil Massage
An outstanding massage that combines the techniques of both Traditional Thai Massage and Oil Massage. This massage works at a deeper tissue level to release tension in your muscles and therefore enhancing flexibility. Thai Oil Massage is best for those who have a busy lifestyle and who want to feel fresh and full of energy after a long day at work.
Hot Herbal Massage
Is also very similar to the Thai Massage in that it also includes deep massage and stretching techniques. However, it differs in the fact that a sports massage is a medical massage that targets a particular region in the body, where knots are formed or where it is injured. This type of massage is commonly done on athletes and sportsmen for better flexibility, stress relief (both physical and mental), and for treating stiffness, aches and pains.
